Deploy web apps to DigitalOcean

DigitalOcean is a US-based provider but has data centres in Amsterdam and Frankfurt for European deployments. Known for simplicity and good documentation.

Getting started with Risved on DigitalOcean

1. Create a Droplet. Pick Amsterdam or Frankfurt. Choose Debian 13.
2. SSH into your server.
3. Run:

   curl -fsSL https://risved.org/install | sh

   Copy
4. Open the setup URL and configure Risved.

Note

DigitalOcean is a US company. While their EU data centres store data in Europe, the company is subject to US law. For strict GDPR compliance, consider a European provider like Hetzner, UpCloud, or Scaleway.
